The problem

Picking a niche by scrolling is how channels die.

It's not your editing. It's not the algorithm. Most channels lose before the first upload — in the niche decision.

01

Scrolling isn't research.

You binge forty videos, feel inspired, and learn nothing about what any of them earn. Inspiration is not a dataset.

02

Views lie. RPM doesn't.

A 500k-view vlog can earn less than a 40k-view finance explainer. Ad rates vary more than 30× between niches — and you can't see that from the feed.

03

Late is the default.

By the time a niche is obviously working, you're the fifth copy of it. The window is between the first breakout and the pile-in — you need to see the breakout.

The fix

Rank niches by what they pay, not how they look.

Every channel in the index is scored, priced and compared against its own cohort — continuously.

×

Outlier Score

Every channel scored against its own category cohort — views-per-subscriber vs. the cohort median, log-scaled. A 2,000-sub channel punching 10× above its weight lights up. Labeled est. because it's ours.

Breakouts feed

Videos that just beat their own channel's baseline 1.5–50×, with floors on subscribers and median views so arithmetic artefacts and bought reach don't rank. Log in, see what broke out this week. Zero setup.

Straight answers

What's measured. What's estimated.

No testimonial wall yet — the product is new. What we have instead is arithmetic you can audit.

Measured From the YouTube Data API, as-is

  • Subscribers — public counts, unmodified
  • Views — per video and per channel
  • Durations & publish dates — straight passthrough
  • Video metadata — titles, thumbnails, categories

Estimated Computed by BlipScope, labeled everywhere

  • Est. revenue — category RPM × geography × duration model
  • Est. RPM — modeled per niche, not reported earnings
  • Outlier score — our calculation vs. the category cohort
  • Every estimate wears an "est." label. That's the deal.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Where does the data come from?

The YouTube Data API — public data only, refreshed continuously by our crawler. We don't scrape pages and we don't touch private analytics.

Are the revenue numbers real earnings?

No — they're estimates from our model (category RPM × geography × video duration, with Shorts discounted), and they're labeled "est." everywhere they appear. They're built for comparing niches directionally, not for accounting. Nobody outside a channel's own dashboard knows real earnings — anyone who claims otherwise is guessing without telling you.

Is BlipScope affiliated with YouTube?

No. BlipScope uses the YouTube Data API under its terms of service, and is not approved, endorsed by, or associated with YouTube or Google.

Is there a free trial?

No trial and no free plan. You can create an account without a card and see every tool before you buy — running any of them is Pro. Cancel any time from your account; the plan stays active to the end of the period you paid for.

Weren't you called NicheScope?

Same product, same index, new name. NicheScope became BlipScope — a blip is the anomaly on the radar, which is exactly what the product finds.

Ready?

The next breakout niche is already in the index.
